Necton Parish Council is seeking an organised, forward thinking and adaptable individual to work as Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer. The Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of finance and administration of the Parish Council, and will be required to provide statutory advice and implement decisions across the complete range of Council’s activities.
Necton has a population of approx.1,900 and is classed as a Service Centre, with 2 Doctors Surgeries, 2 shops (inc Post Office), Pub, Butchers, Hairdressers and 2 Bus Routes.
Assets: play areas, recreation ground,3 bus shelters and a Community Centre with the PC as sole trustee
The position is part time and based in the Parish Office. The salary is in accordance with the current National Joint Salary Scale LC1, salary points 7 to 12 (£19,554 p.a. – £21,589 p.a.) and is calculated pro rata for 24 hours per week.
