Necton Community Centre has a large main hall that adapts to many uses – children’s activities, craft workshops, keep fit & exercise, training and general meetings, parties, afternoon teas, christening and wedding receptions.

The Hall has 4 large windows along one side, plus another on the back wall, providing great natural daylight.  A good sized serving hatch from the adjoining kitchen is perfect for self-catering needs.

Heating is by new air-source wall heaters, providing 3KW of heat for every 1KW of energy used, making them economical, cost-effective and using renewable energy, also environmentally friendly.

With a flick of the lights, the hall can move from day to night, with directional colour spotlights, stage, sound and even a disco ball to set the scene for a special event – birthday parties for 18 to 100 years, wedding afters, anniversary parties and music gigs to suit all tastes.

The centre also has a Meeting Room which easily accommodates up to 20 people in boardroom style layout, perfect for business meetings, training delivery, or a more cosy environment for a club or social meeting.

This room also has a hatch to the kitchen, making light refreshments for meetings an easy offering.  The room is light and airy with windows on two walls.  Heating is again by air-source wall heater, providing quick, clean heat included in the hire price.

The Kitchen is modern and fully equipped for light food preparation.  Complete with fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, large urn, 2 kettles, many teapots of different sizes and enough cups, saucers & plates to feed an army.  Separate hand washing sink, full first aid box and fire blanket also on-hand.

Thanks to funding from the Dudgeon Community Fund, the Centre has a portable Induction Loop available for use to support those with hearing difficulties.
