    Councillor Frank Stopp has sadly resigned from his position as Councillor due to a house move. We would like to pass on our thanks to Frank for all the work and support he has provided to the Council and Necton and wish him the Best of Luck in his new home.

    This means we now have a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. If this is something you may be interested in please contact either the Clerk or any of the Councillors for further information.

  • Welcome to our new Caretaker !!

    Liz Goddard our new caretaker started today. I’m sure you would like to join us in welcoming Liz to the team. No doubt you will see her around  as she helps in keeping the village tidy and well maintained.

    Liz is a keen gardener as well so no doubt we should be seeing all her efforts flowering during the coming summer months.

  • JOB VACANCY – CARETAKER

                    NECTON PARISH COUNCIL

                  VILLAGE CARETAKER

    A part time role position has become available offering 8 hours per week @£9.00 per hour.

    DUTIES:

    Inspect the play equipment:

    • Check play equipment is sound and report any defects
    • Attend a course on maintaining play equipment and Health and Safety
    • Carry out a weekly visual inspection
    • Carry out a six-monthly thorough inspection that is documented including photographs

    Carry out small repairs to the village hall

    Pick up litter and empty bins according to the schedule

    Weed garden at entrance to the village.

  • New Modern Line Dancing – Sunday’s at 6pm

    Necton Community Centre are delighted to welcome a new Modern Line Dancing class that starts this Sunday (9th June) at 6pm.

    Come and try modern line dancing to all styles of music including Waltz, Samba, Country, Swing and Rock n Roll.  Our line dancing class are low impact, provides a mental and physical workout in a fun social environment.

    All Dances taught, no partner required, male or female, all ages and there’s no need to book, just turn up in some sensible shoes!

    Our taster session is half price, just £2.50.

  • Annual Parish Meeting – Monday 29th April 7.30pm – ALL WELCOME

    Come along to our Annual Parish Meeting to meet your Councillors, find out what the Parish Council have been doing and our future plans.  We will also be welcoming guest speakers from EACH (East Anglia Children’s Hospice) and Merle Boddy.  Enjoy refreshments and nibbles, meet with other members of the community.  We look forward to meeting you on Monday.

    The clearing will be an undertaken by the Parish Council at the expense of the tax payer.

  • Village Clean Up Event – Saturday 13th April 2019

    Come along to Necton Community Centre at 10am on Saturday 13th April to join us for a Village Clean Up.  Bring some gloves, we’ve got plenty of rubbish bags, litter pick-up sticks and they’ll be plenty of Tea and Cakes to enjoy!

    Bring the family for some feel good community vibes and help us maintain our lovely village.
